The database for each site is fed by high speed computers that pull information from the poker websites 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This information includes the names of the people that play each Sit and Go table. It then tracks the tables to record the winners and losers of each table. The people who win money are recorded as winners, the other players are recorded as losers. Every hour, the software tracks approximately 1,200 tables and about 9,000 players every hour for Party Poker, approximately 1,000 tables and 8,000 players at PokerStars, 80 tables and 700 players at Full Tilt Poker, and 90 tables and 800 players on Ultimate Bet, depending on the activity on the website.
Needless to say, this is not an easy endeavor. In fact, the software took over 6 months to develop. We have made several improvements to the product since our launch. Currently, we catch about 60-90% of the available Sit and Go games on each site. Poker Prophecy started monitoring of the Party Poker tables on January 21, 2005. We started monitoring Stars on October 1st 2005, Full Tilt Poker on December 23rd, 2005 and Ultimate Bet on February 2nd, 2006.
